Who we are
1989 Homes Ltd, based in Linby, Nottinghamshire. You can reach us on 0115 661 2935 or at info@1989homes.co.uk. We are the data controller for any personal information you give us through this website.
What we collect and why
When you fill in an enquiry form or the cost estimator on this site, we collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode, along with whatever you tell us about your project. We use that solely to respond to your enquiry, work out a price and carry out work if you go ahead. Nothing else.
The estimator also records the answers you gave it, so the person ringing you back already knows what you are asking about rather than starting from scratch.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry information on the basis of legitimate interests, specifically responding to a request you have made of us. Where we go on to carry out work for you, we process your information to perform that contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after twelve months. Where we have carried out work, we keep the records for six years, because that is how long you may need to raise something under the contract and how long our insurers and HMRC require.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered through Formspree, which processes and forwards them to us. Website usage is measured with Google Analytics, which sets cookies to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with marketing companies and we do not pass it to other trades without asking you first.
Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages get read. They do not identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work normally.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@1989homes.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Accessibility
We have built this site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA on colour contrast, keyboard operation and text sizing. If something on it does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.
